Pat Welch (she/her) is an artist, clinician, supervisor, and educator. She is also a faculty member at the Adler Graduate School and runs her own art therapy studio in SE Minneapolis with her associate, Finn the dog.  

Pat earned a Master’s degree in Adlerian Counseling and Psychotherapy with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and Art Therapy at the Adler Graduate School in Minnesota in 2018. Pat studied Fine Arts at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design graduating 2014.

Pat has worked with diverse populations including LGBTQ+ and urban American Indian communities for the last 25 years. Primarily working with adolescents she has utilized theater as a gang intervention, created a Native American Doula program for adolescents and adults where she facilitated culturally focused parenting and adolescent groups, and therapeutic arts with both individuals and groups.

Pat has practiced in a variety of settings including; clinic, adolescent inpatient, adolescent day-treatment, reservations, schools, workshops, and studio settings. 

Pat has presented at numerous workshops and conferences locally and nationally, focusing on the wholistic approach to healing through creative art therapy related to historical, and intergeneration trauma.

Pat utilizes creative art therapies and talk therapies in an integrated approach to address issues such as trauma, historical and intergenerational trauma, depression, anxiety, and specializes in Dissociative Identity Disorder/ Abilities.
